Dr. Wale Adesina is a product of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He started his teaching career about twenty five years ago at the University of Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology. His work has focused on Quality of working life, Health and Gender mainstreaming, Gerontology, Behaviour in work Organisation, Development studies, Social Problems and Social work, Pension Administration and Management.

He has published over forty articles in international and local journals as well as chapters in learned textbooks. Some of his current publications include; Gerontology in Nigeria (1998, Feminisation of Rural Poverty (1996),Gender Differences in the Occupational world, Contemporary African social thoughts, Labour management and the State of Development, Child labour and the future of Nigeria Youths, Shaping the internet for matchmaking/Dating, Unethical use of power and authority in Nigerian Universities, Globalisation and the paradox of Universal values.

He is also a member of many academic associations among which are Nigeria participatory Rural Appraisal Net work, Nigeria Sociological society, and Nigeria Sociological and Anthropological Association.
